If you’re considering prime positions at a show you want to attend, these
are normally allocated to previous exhibitors who re-book at the show. Popular
shows will have high demand for preferred positions. Ironically, spending power
may have little impact, if there is no room to accommodate you.
The position you choose will help you achieve your show objectives. The middle
of the show floor is the best place to be if you want to be in the thick of
things and see lots of people. The front of the show is a great place for profile
building and impact, although visitors do tend to rush past the front booths.
Be close to places that attract attention, for instance, seminar theaters,
food and beverage points and feature areas of the show. Avoid the areas that
tend to be quieter such as the sides and back of the show floor. Booth position
does have an impact, but never as much impact as a great looking exhibit, interactivity
and fantastic booth staff.
