Red Ball Productions Spearheads Pajama Drive at the 2008 NWA Business Women’s Conference

Drive to Benefit Northwest Arkansas battered women’s shelters

Springdale, AR — August 15, 2008 —Red Ball Productions, a local leader in portable and modular display solutions and convention services provider, is spearheading a pajama drive for the charitable organization “Helen’s Pajama Party to Protect Women”, at this year’s NWA Business Women’s Conference. The pajamas will be donated to the Benton County Women’s Shelter and Washington County’s Peace at Home Family Shelter, two local shelters that serve  600+ homeless and abused women and children each year.

Founder of Helen’s Pajama Party, Kelly Sargent, President of Brainstorm Marketing, got the idea to donate new pajamas to emergency shelters for women in Des Moines two years ago. She established the organization “Helen’s Pajama Party to Protect Women” in memory of her mother.  To date, her efforts have resulted in the collection of over 3,000 sets of new pajamas for distribution to shelters throughout Iowa. “Women seeking refuge usually arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Charitable donations frequently support children's needs. New pajamas are a small luxury and slice of normal life that represent the first step in what will be the slow process of restoring a woman's sense of hope, security and self worth,” says Kelly Sargent.

Red Ball Productions is Arkansas’ distributor of Nomadic Display products and is proudly following their lead to support members of its distribution network and recognize their contributions to important causes. “We wanted to supplement Kelly’s efforts and offered to bring her program with us to Northwest Arkansas, and NWA Business Women’s Conference.” Attendees wishing to participate in the drive may bring a pair of new-with-tags pajamas, in women's sizes small to 2x/XXL, to Helen’s Pajama Party exhibit sponsored by Red Ball Production’s during show hours on September 30th or drop off their donation to a local Curves, fitness for women, location throughout the month of September.

Kelly Sargent, Founder of Helen’s Pajama Party will be speaking at the Business Women’s Conference on September 30th. Red Ball Productions has donated their exhibit space where Kelly Sargent will share her story of the founding of Helen¹s Pajama Party to Protect Women several times throughout the day.
