Exhibitor2008 was a huge success drawing over 6,000 attendees and over 300 exhibitors to Las Vegas. Our 20x30 DesignLine hybrid display featuring glowing red backlit acrylic panels and a lively presentation welcomed more visitors this year than the past 19 years we’ve participated in the show.
Exhibitors were invited to view a live presentation about our products and services, which concluded with a drawing for a FREE SignLine banner stand valued at $160. To thank them for their time, audience members were given an acrylic Instand picture frame to take home for their desktop. Internet kiosk stations provided one-on-one previews of our web site. And our newest line of designer accessories for Instand pop-ups drew attention on a double-sided 10’ unit atop an uplit platform.

Women Give Back to a Las Vegas Shelter
As a woman-owned company, Nomadic has always helped organizations that assist women and families. So when we learned that our Des Moines distributor had founded a charitable organization, we offered to help. Kelly Sargent, President of Brainstorm Marketing, founded Helen’s Pajama Party to Protect Women last year. Since then she has collected over 3,000 sets of new pajamas for shelters throughout Iowa.
Women seeking asylum usually arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Most charitable contributions are devoted to children’s needs. So a brand new pair of pajamas is a small luxury that goes beyond providing practical physical warmth to help restore a woman’s sense of security and self-worth.
Nomadic decided to spearhead a pajama drive at Exhibitor2008 to give back to the women of Las Vegas – the number one trade show city. We reached out to an informal group of exhibition industry colleagues, “Women in Exhibitions”, and asked them to bring a new pair of pajamas to donate. We collected over 140 pairs of pajamas for The Shade Tree, a Las Vegas shelter that serves 3,355 homeless and abused women and children each year. |
