Our 20x20 island exhibit featured a short live presentation on our suite of online resources for exhibitors and we provided on-site display design consultations to visitors in our 10x20 cross-aisle display.  The response was overwhelming - - we welcomed 50% more visitors this year as compared to last year’s show.

For insights into the design trends observed at the show, check our Blog.

PicHonoring Nomadic’s industry contribution

The entrance to Exhibitor07 had an exhibit entitled “Ten Ideas that Changed the Tradeshow Industry”Theodore Zeigler, Nomadic’s founder, was honored to be among those included for his contribution to the exhibit industry. His invention of the pop-up display revolutionized exhibiting and created a new market segment that freed exhibitors from expensive warehousing, crated transportation, drayage and contract labor.  Thanks Ted!

Teddy Awards

Nomadic also hosted the 19th Teddy Awards Ceremony.  The Teddy Awards, named after our founder Ted Zeigler, recognize the finest Nomadic display designs from around the world. Winners - both Nomadic distributors and exhibitors - - receive an elegant crystal award.  This year’s event was held at the Cirque de Soleil school.  Jugglers, acrobats, and magicians provided spectacular entertainment.  To view the complete list of 2006 Teddy Award winners, visit our Blog

Nomadic Wins Top Awards

Nomadic was recently recognized with two design awards. An exhibit for Joan Rivers Worldwide Enterprises was selected Winner, Best 10’x 20’ exhibit in the Portable/Modular Awards sponsored by Event Design magazine. PicAnd Nomadic Display’s own exhibit was named Best Stand at International Confex in London. Both exhibits were created from Nomadic Display’s DesignLine system of modular components.

The Joan Rivers Beauty exhibit, designed by Berm Studios, was created for a live event—The QVC Beauty Bash. Styled like a high-end retail environment, the clean, well-lit Joan Rivers Beauty display included a backlit portrait of Ms. Rivers, two cosmetic application and demonstration stations, and tiered shelving for product display.

PicAt International Confex, the Nomadic Display Stand took Best Stand Honors for Best Visitor Experience for the second consecutive year. The stand design featured graphics of candies and columns capped with larger than life translucent red lollipops—which tied in with the stand’s “How Many Sweets?” theme. Visitors were invited to guess how many sweets were contained in a 10-foot tall acrylic sleeve located in the center of the exhibit.

PicQuantify your goals

Goals will depend upon your show objectives. Keep goals straightforward, easy to measure and realistic to achieve.  Here's an example of typical lead generation target:

  • Estimate the number of leads per hour staff can realistically generate:
    • 4 leads per person per hour
  • Multiply leads per hour by the number of hours in the event and then multiply by the number of booth staff
    • 4 leads x 6 hours/day x 5 booth staff = 160 leads as the daily team target
  • Multiply the daily target by the number of event days to estimate an overall lead target:
    • 160 leads x 3 day event = 480 leads for the event

To achieve your lead goal, encourage your booth staff to exceed targets by offering incentives to reward individual or team efforts for achieving the highest number of leads.
