A LifeLine Story 2

by Marketing 10/17/2007 5:09:00 AM
HeadgearI am continually amazed at the emergency situations that come about for our customers on the trade show floor and the many ways Nomadic’s LifeLine Service can assist in a dire time of need.

Imagine this - you are on the show floor on a Sunday afternoon, tired from your late flight into Denver the night before. You arrive at your booth only to discover that the exhibit system appears to be missing parts. Moreover, you are not even familiar enough with this system to know exactly what is missing or how to begin the set-up! You scramble around searching for any assistance on the show floor… perhaps your neighboring exhibitor can help? With little other recourse, you happen to notice a toll-free phone number on one of your Nomadic’s LifeLine ServiceRED cases. Should you give it a ring? Why not? You’ve got nothing else to lose at this point and the show begins tomorrow…

Sound familiar? If it doesn’t, consider yourself lucky. We recently had a customer call from the National Recycling Convention in Denver in which their situation was eerily similar to the one outlined above. Wise, our LifeLine Guardian on-call, contacted one of our Authorized Nomadic Distributors in Denver to see if they could assist. Valerie at ExhibitQuest was eager to help and contacted the customer right away. The twist to this story is that while the customer had Nomadic red cases (where the LifeLine phone number was obtained), the product inside the casing was a competitor’s brand!

By all accounts, this LifeLine story could have had an unhappy ending, as we are unable to provide parts and pieces for the other company’s products. But what kind of story would that be? ExhibitQuest was indeed able to help by renting a Nomadic 10’ system to the customer to work with their existing header components, which were the only salvageable hardware shipped to the show. The rest is history!

Once again our LifeLine Service was able to help a customer in need. No one would have ever guessed that we could assist when the product in question isn’t even ours. Value can be measured in many ways and in this situation, the value of having a Nomadic red case, which helped to save someone’s show!
