Pop Up and Modular Display Design is the Rx for Quiron Hospital Group

Quirón Hospital Group is the largest private hospital network in Spain with campuses in Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastián, Valence and Zaragossa. Quirón operates 38 healthcare centers with more than 2,500 hospital beds and an internationally prestigious medical team.

Quirón secured an island space at FITUR in Madrid, for its first ever participation in an exhibition. It is the most important international tourism fair in Spain. Their objective for the FITUR fair was to promote the company’s mission and locations.

Quirón had a preference for tension fabric structures for two reasons. First they liked the design appeal of fabric graphics. Second, they anticipated exhibiting in more shows and wanted an exhibit design that would be lightweight and compact to transport. Functionally, Quirón wanted the design to include areas for casual conversations and semi-private meetings with small groups. Nomadic Display ESPAÑA proposed a trade show booth design that offered brand visibility and an open floor plan. The exhibit design was inviting to visitors and would differentiate Quirón from other exhibitors on the show floor.

A tension fabric sign hung above the space to draw attention to the brand. Signage stands were placed at entry points on opposite corners of the space – one a tall banner, the other a flat screen monitor displaying digital media.



A meeting room for small groups was located at the center of the space and featured a backlit wall. Instand® pop-up displays with graphics promoting Quirón’s services were placed on two sides.



Lounge-like conversation areas positioned on the remaining corners were framed by half height, semi-circular acrylic walls.



The entire display packed into eight wheeled cases. Quirón took their new trade show display to one of the world’s top five travel and tourism events in Moscow last month.

Custom Trade Show Booth Rental Wins Fans for WinRetail

JDS Solutions is the developer of WinRetail® management software for mid-size independent retailers. To promote their product to over 30,000 members of the retailing community, JDS exhibits in Retail’s Big Show in NYC.

JDS has been a client of Nomadic Display since 2010. Initially they exhibited in a 20’ inline trade show booth and then upgraded to a 400 sq ft island beginning in 2013. “We prefer not to be locked into a particular configuration. Trade show display rentals. give us the freedom to market ourselves with a unique exhibit design every year.” says Jeff Weingrad, Executive Vice President of JDS Solutions.

To explain to prospective clients how WinRetail management software can improve their business from the storefront to the back office, The Stephenz Group, JDS’s agency created an infographic entitled “The Great Race to Win Retail”. The race course illustrates software benefits such as inventory reduction, faster merchandise turn over, and increased profitability.



JDS wanted the infographic to serve as the centerpiece of their tradeshow display graphics. The Great Race theme was also integrated into their trade show marketing campaign which included print and online advertising, email and telemarketing.

Experience and formal research tell us that attendees prefer interaction to relate to products. So during an exhibit design briefing with Nomadic, the team came up with the idea to build a slot car raceway into the display. All agreed it would be a fun and engaging way to entice visitors to learn about WinRetail.



JDS Solutions was so pleased with the results they plan to use the same trade show booth design next year – for the first time in five years. JDS’ primary goal at trade shows is to capture and convert opportunities so the metrics they measure are based on quality over quantity. Race winners were rewarded with a winners’ circle certificate featuring a limited-time discount offer on WinRetail software.

When asked what element of the project he was most proud of, Jeff Weingrad replied “The team.” The creative energy, enthusiasm, and meticulous detail expressed by Nomadic made us feel like they were members of our own staff. Newest Exhibit Innovation from Nomadic Wins Two Awards at Exhibitor2014

Exhibitor2014 is the trade show for trade show and corporate event marketing professionals. The 25th annual conference offered 160 education sessions, an expanded exhibition hall and an inaugural Awards Night.

We premiered our newest trade show exhibit innovation, the DesignLine® Wall System, with a trade show booth design that received rave reviews from attendees. Visitors reacted with delight to our brightly colored graphics and variety of lighting options including backlit walls, LED color changing downlights and whimsical accent lighting.


The exhibit was so well received we generated an increase of 65% more visitors.

Floor to ceiling fabric graphics featured face-to-face conversations about what marketers need from their exhibit partner. Exhibit marketers adapt their programs to meet the changes their business undergoes, often with limited resources. Exhibit Design Tips for Maximizing Results

Exhibit design is one of the most powerful and least understood elements of trade show marketing. A display is your ambassador, a temporary representative designed to communicate on your behalf and foster commerce. For this reason, the overall design should attract visitors, reflect your brand personality, and provide a platform for developing your business relationships. So here are a few trade show display ideas for creating a dynamic trade show booth design.

Use Height
Take advantage of the highest point of your display to place your company logo. Lightweight fabric structures in a variety of shapes may be hung above your display for visitors to locate your booth across the show floor and as they walk down the aisles. You don't have to spend a lot to maximize your space. Tall structures such as towers with signage at the top can create similar effects without the expense of ceiling rigging.

Draw Attention
Think of attendees as specialized and discerning shoppers that are influenced by what they see, hear, or smell. Motion can catch attendees' eyes while LED spot or backlighting can make your graphics pop. Use music and special sound effects to stimulate their curiosity and because smell is our strongest sense, use it to lure visitors in with fresh coffee brewing, popcorn popping, or chocolate chip cookies baking.



Open Up
Make your visitors feel welcome with an open and inviting floor plan. Encourage entry by offering easy access to your space from multiple points. To that end, think more space, less clutter. One general rule of thumb is to leave 60 percent of your space frontage open and at least 60 percent of the floor space unoccupied.

Provide an Experience
Don't underestimate the power of face-to-face contact with your product. The number one reason people attend shows is to see new products. Nothing sells a product as effectively as a truly hands-on experience. Visitors look for opportunities to see and touch your products to learn about them. Integrate product display into the exhibit, distribute samples or conduct in-booth demonstrations.

What Your Exhibit Designer Needs From You

Exhibitors often ask what information is needed to start a new trade show booth design. Ideally you want a well thought out trade show display solution that will help you achieve your marketing objectives. Better quality input from you will produce better quality output from your exhibit designer.  So take the time to gather the right input.

1. Exhibiting calendar

Once you have selected your trade shows, create a list of each of the events you plan to attend and their space sizes. Based on the number of events and their space sizes, it may be worth considering a modular display that can scale to fit different change and adapt to each event and trim provide you with costs savings that may be applied across your trade show marketing program. If you have  a one off situation, it may be advisable to use a trade show display rental.

2. Concise design brief

Your brief should describe your marketing goals, how you plan to engage your visitors, explain your products/services that will be featured and demonstrated. Try to express the look and feel you want your brand to portray to potential clients.  Describe your plans for visitor interaction – touch screen programs, product sampling, small group meetings, live presentations, etc.  While you may not have every detail pinned down, document what is firm in your mind.

3. Realistic budget

Be open about discussing your budget and any cost cutting strategies you want to pursue.  Designers do their best to create a design solution to fit your budget.  Prepare for the discussion by researching the size and type of display designs that fit the design brief you created.

4. Design tools

Design time is better spent designing than searching for materials.  Your designer will need to understand the corporate image guidelines for your brand, and have access to the logos, artwork, photos and/or graphic images you want used in your exhibit design.  You will need high quality images since they will be printed in large format. If you decide to have graphics designed by an agency, you will need to provide them with graphic file preparation instructions like the ones in our GraphicSource Guide.

5. Adequate time

Plan to provide a brief to your exhibit designer at least three to six months prior to your event.  You will receive a better thought out exhibit design with less stress for all involved.  Keep in mind the time required for decision-making by members of your organization.  Artwork proofing and exhibit build production times will vary depending on the size of your project.

Our radiant blue set design made its anticipated appearance on last night’s nail biting game between the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons.  We were in on the action as commentators hustled to give a detailed play by play. 

NFL spotted the vivid yellow sets designs that we produced for Fox Sports and were pumped to get a set design of their very own.  The Nomadic Solutions Studio geared up to create a unique custom set that offers unrivaled graphic impact, easy set up and shipping.

How FACEbook can get you FACEtime with key buyers

With The Social Network topping box office charts for three straight weeks and the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerburg valued at nearly 6 billion usd, one has to wonder what all the hype is about?  Initially introduced as a purely recreational networking tool mimicking the likes of MySpace, Facebook (FB) has grown at a viral pace.

FB is another channel for your event communications which is why its earning a place in event marketer’s hearts. Integrating Facebook in your event marketing promotions can create brand loyalty and intensify pre show buzz.  Below are some ways that you can harness the power of FB to get you FACE time with key buyers at your next event.

 

FACE your promotions


1)    Create an events page in the personal account attached to your corporate Facebook account and post  it on both walls (your personal wall and your pages wall). Make sure you select “Public Event” so that everyone can see and access your event.

2)    List any new product launches, special offers, services or giveaways that your company will be showcasing at your next event on your Events page.  You should also post inbound links on your Events page to redirect your audience to your event landing page and registration form.  

3)    Use the albums feature on your FB pages account to share photos or renderings of your display and the people who will staff it, to entice customers to visit you. If your booth staff is in the exhibit photos you should tag them, which will increase your event reach.

4)    Add photos from last year’s event to your newly created FB events page – and post inbound links at the bottom of each photo to redirect your audience to your event landing page and registration form. 

5)    Select “invite guests” – which will send a message to everyone in your personal and corporate network encouraging them to attend your event. But remember to send an invite to those who are not connected to you on FB as well. You can alternatively populate their email addresses in the “invite by email addresses” field and send an invitation out from facebook to their work inbox.

6)    Create a note on your Facebook pages wall d

etailing the event and tag those attending the event to your note – this will expand the reach of your communications. 

7)    Run a Facebook ad to increase your audience, which you may pair with an event listing.

North Sails cruised over to Nomadic's website hoping to revamp their existing Instand trade show displays for use in the 40th Annual Newport Boat Show. North Sails wanted an exhibit design that would distinguish them internationally as a high quality supplier and make a lasting impression on attendees.

The result was a custom portable display that made a SPLASH among other vendors participating in the show.  Brilliant graphics lured key buyers and onlookers in their 20x20 tent. 


The 10x20 exhibit design defied the traditional “generic” pop up status quo.  North Sails innovative look was comprised of features that seamlessly integrated the custom displays with other Nomadic Display properties including: a built-in backlit counter with a 32" LCD monitor and semi-private meeting area.
