Market an experience

by Marketing 8/20/2008 10:30:00 AM

Have you found yourself asking, “What will it take to emotionally engage our prospects and persuade them to buy our product or service?”

One answer is “experiential marketing”. For the past two years, companies have been differentiating themselves and facilitating decisions made by potential purchasers using this strategy. It’s generally defined as live events where audiences interact with a product or brand face to face.

But how is this emerging marketing technique demonstrated at tradeshow halls?

Exhibitors who use “experiential marketing” at tradeshows are putting their efforts into building exhibit environments that mimic the experience of using a product or a service.  Exhibitors engage attendees through interactive computer programs, creative theatrical presentations or equipment simulations that tell a product or a brand’s story.  Others go the extra mile by providing a multi-sensory experience accomplished through special lighting, sounds, scents or tactile effects in their exhibits.

Exhibit rental as a green exhibiting option

by Marketing 8/13/2008 11:25:00 AM

Green DisplayLooking for a green way to exhibit without breaking the bank? I suggest you consider an exhibit rental

But what makes this growing exhibiting trend a way to reduce carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner and greener earth?  When you rent an exhibit, you’re more likely to rent it from a vendor whose warehouse is located near your show venue. This translates to less transportation time and reduction in fuel use. Another green advantage is that exhibit rentals encourage re-use of exhibit components that would have otherwise been left to disintegrate in storage areas.

And because of the savings you gain from renting your exhibit, you will have more money for creative “green” giveaways that will help you attract attendees to your booth.

To learn more about the benefits of exhibit rentals, obtain a copy of our latest white paper “ Is the Rental Revolution Right for You?

Linking Social Media with Exhibiting

by Marketing 8/7/2008 9:06:00 AM

For the past few years, I’ve seen how social media has become more than a hype. It has evolved into one of the most powerful vehicles in brand and cause marketing. But how does social media fit in with your exhibiting plan?

The answer lies in your pre-show promotions. With social media, you can publicize your participation in an upcoming show through blogs, social networking sites such as LinkedIn or Facebook, and through web-based communities that your target attendees belong to. All you need is a little bit of research.

So don’t just leave your pre-show invitations to emails. Expand your online horizons. You’ll be surprised how much you can do and how far you can get with a click of a mouse and an internet browser!
